Since I can remember, I’ve loved being outdoors.

In high school I discovered how therapeutic exercising in nature could be for the soul.  From that time on, my personal goal was to share that amazing experience with others.

College was a quest for knowledge as I gathered skills through study, work, and extracurricular activities.  Attaining wisdom and abilities took on a singular underlying theme: helping people get fit and healthy.  One of my favorite jobs was teaching kinesiology classes at my own school, Michigan State University.  Working through college and graduation at the Michigan Athletic Club, it was there I formed the vision for my career.

Roughly one year post graduation, having become a certified Yoga Instructor and Personal Trainer, I broadened my horizons and moved to North Carolina to work for Wellspring Adventure Camp (a children’s weight loss camp).  After only one summer, I committed to making one of the most beautiful places on earth my home, the small mountain town of Brevard, NC.

Nearly thirteen years later, having spent many hours personal training, teaching classes, and networking at the Brevard Health & Raquet Club, I began my new adventure combining my true passions of outdoors and exercise into Outdoor Fitness Brevard!
